This report covers the R3 portion of the R3/R4 licence. The R3 Area is located in the East Niger Rift Basin. Exploration in the basin started in the 1970s but production only began in 2011 from CNPC's Goumeri and Sokor fields in the neighbouring Agadem licence to the east.In 2013, CNPC relinquished part of its Agadem acreage creating the R1, R2, R3 and R4 areas.
