Norpipe Gas was the first gas pipeline system to be constructed in Norway and commenced operations in 1997The pipeline transports dry gas from the Ekofisk field centre in the southern part of the Norwegian North Sea to the receiving gas terminal in Emden, Germany. Following the redevelopment of Ekofisk II facilities in 1998, Norpipe was tied back to Statpipe via the Ekofisk Bypass.
