London-listed Block Energy operates a portfolio of onshore oil and gas fields in Georgia. It entered the country in 2017 and, in 2020, significantly expanded its operations via acquisition of two blocks from Schlumberger.In 2024, production was approximately 780 boe/d. Most of the fields were developed in the Soviet era, when production from the large Samgori-Patardzeuli deposit alone peaked at almost 70,000 boe/d in the early 1980s.
