Report summary
Ormen Lange is the second largest gas field in Norway after Troll. It is located in the southern part of the Norwegian Sea, 130 kilometres northwest from the onshore plant at Nyhamna. The field has been developed in phases via subsea infrastructure which is tied back to the Nyhamna onshore plant. Production started in 2007. Onshore and offshore compression has been installed to boost recovery rates from the field.
