Nikolaevsk (formerly referred to as Red Pad) is a small gas field located on the east side of the Cook Inlet. It was originally discovered by Chevron in 2004. Hilcorp Energy became the sole owner and operator in 2011 following its acquisition of Chevron's Cook Inlet portfolio. In December 2012, following construction of a pipeline by Enstar to link to existing infrastructure, the field was brought onstream. Output is from the field's discovery well.
