Report summary
Broadmeadow is a punch longwall operation in Queensland’s Bowen Basin 30 kilometres north of Moranbah, producing high quality metallurgical coal. The mine is operated as part of the Goonyella Riverside mine complex. In 2013 operations commenced in the Broadmeadow Life Extension Project area (ML1763) and an application was made to extend three of the longwall panels eastwards into the Red Hill lease area (MLA 70421).
